Plot summary
Charlie runs her late father's auto shop in Oakland with an all-female crew. She chats online with "Bullnose" as "GreaseMnky," unaware that Bullnose is Beau, a manager for Miller Boys, a corporate chain now opening nearby. When Beau visits the shop, he hides his job; later he plays pool with Charlie and she wins easily. Charlie goes to Miller Boys, discovers Beau's connection, and is angry that he kept it from her. Back home she vents to Bullnose, not knowing she is confiding in the same rival. A television interview lets her defend the shop, but a customer complaint is brushed aside, and Charlie cannot match the chain's low prices.
