Plot summary
Charles Prescott, a luxury developer, has bought the port at Redmond's Bay Marina and intends a lavish expansion, and Jodie Carpenter, who owns The Loft, the sail-making company her family has kept there, believes the marina and the heritage around it would be demolished. She joins with her friends and other locals to oppose the plans, and she has promised to finish a boat she had been restoring with her father before he died. Will Calvin, the architect who designed the new marina, comes to town, and Jodie sets out to show him the community and to press him to fit his plans around the businesses already there. The two clash at first.
