Plot summary
Priscilla Anders has spent years on the audition circuit in Los Angeles without a break, and she waitresses at a diner while she weighs a return to her hometown. One morning she overhears regulars at the diner working through a riddle that points to hidden loot. She takes the puzzle to Benny, a mechanic who is in love with her, and asks him to help her crack the code, hoping the money will pay for the Hollywood career she wants. Cracking it brings the two of them into contact with dangerous criminals, and the loot the riddle describes is hot, hefty and blood-soaked.
