Plot summary
Rebecca Holland has recently become the vicar of the parish church in Berrow, a rural English village. The village holds a harvest festival, and her daughter Grace is chosen to be the Harvest Angel there. Grace then goes missing. The police and people from the village look for the child. As the search goes on, the customs the village keeps around the god Gallowgog raise suspicion.
