Plot summary
Peter and Carla have a strained marriage. Peter purchases expensive camping gear and talks a reluctant Carla into a trip with their dog Cricket and another couple to Moondah Beach, an isolated stretch of the North Coast. Driving there, the two stop at a pub to ask for directions, and Peter asks the owner to pass a message to his friend Luke. Peter then takes what he thinks is a shortcut, gets lost, and the two sleep in their SUV that night. The next morning they reach the campsite and set up, planning a weekend of swimming, sunbathing and outdoor cooking.
