Linewatch (2008) on Netflix

Plot summary

Michael Dixon is a seasoned Border Patrol agent working linewatch along the US-Mexico border in New Mexico. The agents around him respect him, and his wife Angela and their five-year-old daughter Emily are at home. On patrol with his partner Luis DeSanto, he finds a van in which illegal immigrants have died, and the two go looking for the coyote who led the group across and then abandoned it. Michael also has to contend with a militia in the Minute Men style, under Ron Spencer. Years earlier in Los Angeles he belonged to the High Noon Gang, and he turned his back on that life. The gang's leader, Kimo, now wants his help moving a drug shipment over the border.
