Plot summary
Irene is a housewife with a weekend to herself. Her husband Jim and their son Christopher have gone away to fish. She is drawn to Billy, who once trimmed a tree in her neighborhood. By accident she is shut inside his trailer, and she reaches Lake Consequence hours later. Grace, Billy's bisexual girlfriend, comes upon her, and then Billy does. The two agree to take her toward town, where she could catch a bus home. Chinese New Year is under way; the celebrations bring them to a Chinese nightclub and bath house, where Billy seduces her. Away from her family, Irene begins to explore desires she has kept hidden.
