Whip Hubley
Biography
Whip Hubley is an American actor. Born in New York City, he played Hollywood in Top Gun (1986) and Mischa in Russkies (1987). He has said he initially thought Top Gun would be an ensemble film, but the producers focused the story around Maverick. He later appeared as Brian Hawkins in More Tales of the City (1998), a Showtime miniseries, and in its sequel Further Tales of the City (2001). Both were sequels to the earlier PBS miniseries Tales of the City (1994), in which Paul Gross played Brian. From 1995 to 2000, he led the TV revival of Flipper as Sheriff Tom Hampton. According to a 2022 interview, he works as a manager at a construction company and acts in local theater productions.
