Plot summary
A group of Romanis in New York City lives by criminal ways in the early 1960s, and their lives are turbulent. Their king is Zharko Stepanowicz. On his deathbed, Zharko passes his position of leadership to his grandson Dave, who is unwilling to take it. Dave's father Groffo is resentful over not being appointed leader, and the choice leads to infighting between Dave and his father.
