Plot summary
Charlotte is expecting a baby with her boyfriend Ben when he is killed in an accident. The news makes her collapse, and she regains consciousness in the old manor house belonging to his family, far from anywhere. Ben's mother Margaret and his stepbrother Thomas take her in and say they will care for her until the child is born. Grief and the hallucinations that come with her pregnancy wear her down, and she accepts their help. The family watches her every move, and as her visions intensify, Charlotte begins to doubt their intentions and to suspect that they want her baby for themselves.
