Plot summary
Michael Karl Popper cannot shake the dream in which he falls from a building, and it stays with him more sharply than anything in his waking life. Looking for an explanation, he goes online and gets back strange, cryptic messages on his computer, and he begins to wonder whether the world around him is real at all. During a class his mobile phone rings although he had turned it off. The caller identifies himself as Neo and warns him that they know about him and are on their way. Michael glances out the window, sees men in dark suits, and rides off on his skateboard.
