Johnson Family Vacation (2004) on Netflix

Plot summary

Dorothy Johnson and her husband Nate are living apart, in two houses on the same Los Angeles street, with their daughters Nikki and Destiny and their son D.J., an aspiring rapper. Nate picks up a Lincoln Navigator from an auto body shop and finds it fitted with features he did not ask for. His mother Glorietta telephones to criticize the marriage, and his brother Mack talks up his own family. Nate brings Dorothy and the children along on the drive to a reunion in Caruthersville, Missouri. Stan Turner comes to the house with a reservation for a date with Dorothy, and Nate sends him on his way. On the highway a semi truck forces them toward a collision.
