Plot summary
A final collection of stunts, skits, and pranks reunites the original crew with the members who joined in later films, mixing newly shot material with the biggest bits from the franchise's history and footage that has never been shown. The opening sequence goes back to 1998, when a young member wore a cheap bulletproof vest and shot himself in the chest. From there it jumps to the present, where the cast stages a group performance in which each member takes on a stunt reminiscent of an earlier signature stunt, the sequence closing with a giant wooden mallet swung at a groin.

- Dave England ruptured a tendon in his right middle finger while unknowingly trying to dig a coin out of Zach Holmes' anus during a stunt for the film.
- The final explosion of the ending sequence, shot in Simi Valley, California, was so large that nearby residents thought the mushroom cloud came from an airplane crashing.
- Johnny Knoxville said he can no longer do stunts that could give him a concussion, after breaking a rib and a wrist and suffering a concussion and brain hemorrhage during a bull stunt in Jackass Forever.
- Explosions expert Tory Belleci, who had tested the idea for MythBusters, pitched surfing with dynamite for the film, but the stunt was scrapped as logistically improbable.
- A stunt built around Dave England's one testicle, which would have added a light-up ball in the empty spot, was scrapped because the lawyers did not allow it to be filmed.
- Bam Margera, who was fired from Jackass Forever, was invited but declined to film new footage for Jackass: Best and Last, so he appears only in archive footage, making it the only theatrical Jackass film without him.
