Plot summary
A group of regulars returns for a third round of pranks and stunts, made for 3D. A cartoon pair opens the film by explaining the technology, then argue and slap-fight. One man is painted in camouflage while a bull charges at him, another falls into a pit of snakes, and two play instruments while a ram butts them. One performer drinks another's sweat, one glues his hands to two chests, and a crooked tooth is pulled by a Lamborghini. A beehive stands in for a tetherball, and one performer takes on others in a bar brawl.

- To get Jackass 3D greenlit, Chris Pontius performed a stunt called "The Heli-cockter", a remote-control helicopter tethered to his penis, and the 3D footage was shown to Paramount Pictures executives.
- The "Lamborghini Tooth Pull" was first shot for Jackass Number Two with Bam Margera's uncle Vincent Margera, also known as Don Vito, but after Margera's 2006 arrest it was cut, never shown in Jackass 2.5, and re-shot with Ehren McGhehey.
- An injury to Bam Margera forced a rewrite of the beginning of Jackass 3D: on June 12, 2010, he was beaten on the head with a bat by a woman outside his bar, The Note.
- During the filming of Jackass 3D, Ehren McGhehey broke his neck twice and also suffered a broken orbital bone in the "Lamborghini Tooth Pull" stunt.
- In late May 2010, Johnny Knoxville said Steve-O's sobriety was at its best and that there was no beer on the set of Jackass 3D, even if some of the crew wished there was.
- Jackass 3D set a record opening day for a fall release with $22 million, and its $50.4 million opening weekend was the biggest October debut for a year until Paranormal Activity 3 beat it in 2011 with $52.6 million.
