Plot summary
Nemo enters a Manhattan high-rise penthouse disguised as a handyman, planning to steal three works by Egon Schiele from a wealthy collector's collection. The self-portrait he came for is not where he expects, and when he tries to leave, the apartment's security system seals the doors. His contacts stop answering, and every attempt to get out fails. A broken thermostat makes the rooms first too hot and then too cold, and there is little food or water beyond the timed sprinklers in an indoor garden. A pigeon that gets in through the netting over the patio becomes trapped inside with him.
