Plot summary
Beach volleyball player Kelly Reyes faces fierce competitors and the press. She and her teammate lose a close semifinal match at the Association of Volleyball Professionals championship. A print journalist, Holden Gregg, asks to interview her, and he tells her that the comments of losers are more interesting to him than those of winners. The interview leads to dinner and the two spend a night together.
