Brian Austin Green
Biography
Brian Austin Green is an American actor who began with a recurring role as Brian Cunningham on the CBS soap Knots Landing from 1986 to 1989. He became widely known as David Silver on Beverly Hills, 90210, a part he played from 1990 to 2000. In 1996 he dropped Austin from his professional name and released a rap album, One Stop Carnival, produced by Slimkid3. He later played Luke Bonner on Resurrection Blvd. from 2001 to 2004 and appeared with Ian Ziering in Tony Scott's Domino (2005). On television he was a regular on Freddie, Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles, Wedding Band, and Anger Management, and he played Derek Reese in the Terminator series and Metallo in Smallville. His film work includes the superhero role Callan in Cross (2011). He directed Fish Without a Bicycle (2003), which won festival awards including a special jury prize at the Palm Beach International Film Festival.

About the name
As a child, Green joined the Screen Actors Guild. Because another actor was already registered, he added the middle name Austin to tell himself apart from that actor.
A role that slipped away
Green was cast as Clay in the seventh season of One Tree Hill but left over scheduling conflicts, and the part went to Robert Buckley instead.
A change of course
Green tried his hand at rapping in 1996, the same year he stopped using "Austin" professionally. His one album, One Stop Carnival, was produced by Slimkid3 of The Pharcyde.
