Plot summary

Jessica, a children's book author, returns with her family to the house where she grew up. Her husband Max has two daughters from an earlier marriage, teenager Taylor and young Alice. The games she plays with Chauncey start out playful and turn unsettling, and Max leaves for a music tour.
