Plot summary
Steve has been getting unsettling calls and seeing visions in television static. On Christmas, his brother Matt and Matt's wife Karen show up at his house without warning. Steve first tells them to leave. When they stay, he leads them to a padlocked door in the basement with a cross on it. A man's voice asks for help from behind the door. Steve says the prisoner is the devil, an evil presence that took a man's shape, and that he caught it. He begs Matt and Karen to believe him. Matt tries to follow his brother's reasoning, but Karen will not take part in what she sees as a crime.
