I Can't Breathe (God Forgive Them) (2022) on Netflix

Plot summary

Tom Laresca trades on Wall Street and lives in a wealthy development, where police take him for an armed burglar. Five officers arrest him there. A security guard's deposition and Laresca's own account say that one officer brutalized him for twenty-five minutes while he was handcuffed. Ambulance records state that life support was needed, while police records give another reason for the ambulance: an officer's hurt wrist. The evidence behind those two versions is laid out piece by piece, and a hundred thousand dollar challenge is offered for the truth. Revived in the ambulance, Laresca leans on his faith through the struggles that follow.
