Plot summary
Emily died and now haunts a Victorian house, which was once her own home. Every day she appears there, and every day she cannot work out why she is unable to leave it. Sylvia is a clairvoyant, and someone has hired her to rid the house of the spirits in it. Her contact with Emily pushes the two of them into a patient and therapist relationship, with Emily taking the patient's part. What comes up between them are disturbing mysteries about Emily's past, and those mysteries may be what lets her move on to the next place.
