Plot summary
Sarah Fitzpatrick is a good Samaritan. Shortly before Christmas she has a fatal accident, and she comes to in the lobby outside Heaven's gates. She expects to be let in, so finding that the reservation list does not carry her name comes as a shock. She is offered a way back to Earth as an angel in training, on the condition that she help a soul in need. Twelve days remain before Christmas, and her place on the list depends on that task.
