Plot summary
Sherlock Holmes and Dr. John Watson are expected at the trial of Professor James Moriarty, but a package from Moriarty, delivered by their housekeeper Mrs. Hudson, lets loose a swarm of bees in their rooms. At the trial Holmes testifies that the accused man, Jacob Musgrave, is an imposter whose trembling hands could not have done Moriarty's crimes, and that Moriarty is bound for America. Inspector Lestrade disagrees. A surprise birthday party for Holmes at Buckingham Palace brings a cake with a corpse inside and a note promising the death of Queen Victoria. At the morgue Holmes and Watson meet Dr. Grace Hart and her companion Millie. Watson wants to be seen as a co-detective, and Holmes suspects poison.
