Hoax (2019) on Netflix

Plot summary

Six college students are attacked while camping in the wilderness. Five are killed and Alex Barnes disappears, an incident the police suspect was a bear attack but which becomes known as the Mountaineering Massacre. Struggling film producer Rick Paxton brings the idea of a Bigfoot show to his former employer, Roger Brannan, who agrees to back it only if Paxton returns with proof. Paxton assembles a group that includes his assistant Danny, cameraman Justin, vlogger Bridgette, primate specialist Dr. Ellen Freese, pilot Jonesy, security man John Singer, Sasquatch expert Peter, and Cooper Barnes, Alex's father, who wants answers. They travel into the woods, where Peter has them set a trail camera with bait and a pheromone to draw animals.
