Heavenquest: A Pilgrim's Progress (2020) on Netflix

Plot summary

Vangel, a man of royal bearing, is arrested without explanation and pushed onto a road he never asked for. Wounded and lost once he has slipped free of the dark king's soldiers, he is visited by dreams of a woman dressed in white, who summons him toward the unknown North. A wise sage named Elder entrusts him with a book, The Record of the Ancients, and Vangel sets out. His way leads over a harsh mountain range, across waterless desert, past a lake of doubt and into a forest from which none come back. Travel companions along the road speak of a good king and his son said to rule in the North, a place Vangel must reach alive.
