Plot summary
Padgett Sawyer spends her final year of high school as an influencer while letting her followers and sponsors believe she lives in an upscale condo instead of with her divorced mother, a nurse. When she finds her boyfriend, aspiring hip-hop artist Jordan Van Draanen, with a backup dancer, the camera is still on and her outburst costs her followers and sponsorship deals. Hoping to repair her reputation, Padgett takes on a bet: turn Cameron Kweller, a photographer who keeps to himself, into prom king. He is indifferent to her, so she learns about him from his younger sister, Brin, and talks him into giving her horse riding lessons.
