Plot summary

A nuclear cataclysm known as the Maelstrom and the civil wars that followed nearly destroyed humanity. Peace was restored, and society is now run by the Admedistration, a borderless authority that uses WatchMe medical nanotechnology to protect and prolong human life. Its guiding ethic is social welfare and mutual consideration. In Japan, three young women, Tuan Kirie, Cian Reikado and Miach Mihie, decide that this utopia denies them personal autonomy and attempt suicide together. Thirteen years on, Tuan works at the World Health Organization as a senior investigator. She meets Cian Reikado again.
