Peaches owns a hair salon in Baltimore and owes $50,000 in back taxes to the IRS. She travels to Los Angeles for a celebration in honor of her sister Angela, who runs an upscale salon in Beverly Hills and has long been estranged from her. Angela learns of the debt and offers her sister a hand, though the money troubles are a strain. In Baltimore, Marcella, who owns a rival salon, is angling to take over Peaches' shop.
