Plot summary
Their world was saved, and Yuta Hibiki, Rikka Takarada and Sho Utsumi are back at Tsutsujidai High School. Yuta still has to adjust to two months of memories he lost while Gridman occupied him, but he wants to tell Rikka how he feels. She and Utsumi are writing a script for a class play drawn from what happened with Gridman. A kaiju attacks the city, so Yuta joins with Gridman again, and the Neon Genesis Junior High Students come back to help, among them a revived Gauma, who commands DynaRex. They defeat the kaiju and explain that an unknown phenomenon is making separate universes overlap.
