Plot summary
The comedy is told in three episodes. Leo Nuvolone is grieving: his mother has died suddenly, and the funeral and the burial have to be arranged. Professor Callisto Cagnato keeps a possessive grip on Severiano, his timid son, who has never had a girlfriend. Callisto takes a college student, Lucilla Diotiallevi, into the house as a maid, hoping that she and Severiano will become friends. The third episode follows the vulgar Moreno Vecchiarutti, who arrives with his family at a luxury hotel in Taormina, where the other guests disapprove of them. Moreno notices a beautiful woman, Blanche Duvall, and tries to win her over.
