Plot summary
In 1978, after a string of cannibalistic killings, Detective William Sanders brings the deformed killer called Gore to justice. By 2009 Gore has become a legend in the city of Metsburg, where he once lived. A group of teenagers drives to the small town looking for the house where Gore lived, and days later the police find their mutilated remains. One of them, Alice, survives, and she is said to have seen her friends killed. Sanders now works as a beat cop. The new murders copy the killings of the original case, and his experience with Gore is why he is called to the scene.
