Plot summary
Jack Hooper and his mother, Christie, settle in a Western Australian town, where she opens a shop. They have moved there after the death of Jack's father, Hooper, from cancer. While Jack helps her load the shop, she sends him to a birthday celebration at a kart track. That party belongs to Mandy, who works on engines and becomes his friend. Jack finds he has a flair for karting and starts to train, though he is reckless. Mandy, his best mate Colin and his mentor Patrick stand behind him.
