Plot summary
Alma Deranquel goes back to the cabin where she grew up, in the Canadian wilderness, after her grandfather dies. In the forest she finds the wreckage of a plane bound for a circus and takes in the lion cub that survived the crash rather than hand it to the forest rangers, since her grandfather had campaigned against the way circuses treat animals. A female wolf that had befriended Alma's grandfather brings her pup to the cabin while two scientists pursue her. The two young animals grow up together like brothers, fed by the she-wolf, and Alma gives them names: Mozart for the wolf and Dreamer for the lion.
