Plot summary
Robin and Lacie are both actresses in Los Angeles. Robin has been married to her girlfriend for six years, while Lacie has never held on to a lasting relationship. The two meet by chance when a stage play casts them as lovers. Gabriel, the play's director, puts the women through a series of rehearsals meant to bring out intimacy between performers. The exercises work: Robin and Lacie find themselves pulled toward each other, and the attraction is hard to deny. Each woman has to work out whether what she feels was manufactured for the sake of the play or is real love.
