Plot summary
Six or seven families live in the blocks around a parking lot, and their lives are bound together. Among themselves they use a language few outsiders speak, and the community expects marriages to stay inside it. The country's laws do not weigh heavily on them. Money is scarce, while the folklore is rich and daily life holds celebrations, sex and violence. Many of them work in the luggage department at Ben Gurion Airport, and those who do help others from the block to take travelers' suitcases. The event the block is preparing, planned out step by step, is a robbery of diamond cargoes from the airplanes.
