Plot summary
Katie O'Dare and her husband Scott are deeply in love and share an active life together despite the thirty-year age gap between them. A heart attack while they are horseback riding leaves Scott alive but unable to have sex, and his age rules him out as a candidate for a heart transplant. He ends his own life. In the afterlife, a fledgling guardian angel unsure of her duties allows him to come back as a ghost. Only Katie can see and hear him, and the two can no longer touch. Scott proposes a plan: Katie will kill a man so that he can possess the body. She uses her inheritance to travel under the pretense of handling his business, looking for a suitable victim.
