Plot summary

Paulina is a real estate developer who brings architect Tyler, cameraman Dave, salesman Alan and guide Pepe to Saipan to scout a site for a new luxury resort. Pepe says the islanders regard the land as a cursed burial ground. Paulina and Tyler like the property, though they are wary of Alan's sales manner. Surveying it with a drone, the group spots strangers and challenges them as trespassers; the two are locals at prayer who warn Pepe off the area, and he, not superstitious, brushes them off. Once the locals go, the group finds a World War II bunker hidden on the land, and Dave collects a bojobo doll, a ritual effigy the locals left behind. Fearing the bunker could become a liability for the resort, Paulina talks the others into going inside.
