Plot summary
At a Berkeley university, Frank Walton runs an unsanctioned lab where a serum he and his fiancée Zoe McConnell developed has just revived a dead dog named Rocky. Their colleagues Niko and Clay work beside them, and the student Eva films the project. When the dean learns what they have done, he shuts them down, and a pharmaceutical company buys their funder and seizes the equipment. Using a pass Eva kept, the team slips into the lab at night to repeat the test. Zoe is electrocuted and dies. Frank injects her with the serum, and she comes back, asking whether she just died.
