Plot summary
Eight people accept an invitation to take part in a new reality show hosted by a computer-generated panda called Furcas. Cameras follow them around the clock, and the contestants vote for whoever they like most. Every three days the person with the fewest votes has to play a penalty game, and whoever loses is eliminated. When two contestants are tied, they face each other. Leaving is not permitted; anyone who tries is punished and removed. Among the group are Kasper Nordin, a former reality star, Lonni Byrne, who is about to be married, the boxer James 'Headstone' Malone, the singer Dex 'El Shocker' Souza, and the blogger Ximena Torres. The penalty games are lethal, but at first the contestants treat the competition as ordinary television.
