Plot summary
Richie Wickham invites his son Ian and Ian's friends to a ski resort in Park City, Utah, for the Christmas season. Ian has been estranged from his father since boyhood, when Richie worked long hours, and he refuses to hear what Richie wants to tell him. Jon arrives with his German girlfriend Carla, and soon has a rival for her in Hans, a ski instructor. David is gay and a virgin, and finds a companion in Manny, who shares his interest in chess. Keaton finds out that his sister Jane is pregnant and does not mean to tell the man who could be the father, and he is uneasy that his friend Lisa wants their relationship to become romantic.
