Plot summary
Daniel Hackett is a brilliant lawyer who is close to a judgeship, and Jenny Fisher is his fiancée. He is at the wheel with Jenny beside him when their car hits another, and Jenny wakes to the news that the other driver died and that she faces a manslaughter charge. Before help reached the scene, Daniel moved her into the driver's seat, and he means to keep that quiet. Jenny wants her life back, but the dead driver's wife is vengeful, and Jenny approaches her to argue that she is innocent while Daniel is determined that the truth of the crash stays with him.
