Plot summary
One story is told three times, in New York, Berlin and Tokyo, with the same dialogue in each city. In New York, Bill cannot settle his future with Emily, and Walter, the husband of a woman Bill thinks he may be in love with, has to be held back. In Berlin, Dwight faces a comparable choice with a lover of his own. In Tokyo, what happens to Miho takes a more dramatic turn. In each city, someone weighs committing to a lover who is coming home, while two other people are already in the picture: a former partner, and a person in an established relationship.
