Plot summary
Greg Yance, a young drug dealer in Chicago and a member of the Vice Lords, is arrested for drug possession. Five grams of drugs are found on him, an amount that means a trafficking charge and a five-year prison term with no parole. With no prior record, Yance is offered another sentence instead: 120 days at an intensive boot camp run by Sergeant Calhoun. Yance enters the camp, and it turns out to be harder than he expected. Calhoun is an experienced drill sergeant who keeps pressing Yance to see the program through, and his harsh methods make Yance and the other inmates resent him.
