Plot summary
Patricia Goodwin, who appears to be psychic, brings Max Donigan and Leo Porter a map she says leads to a stockpile of gold belonging to the Firewalker. The two treasure hunters, whose expeditions rarely end in success, join her, and she warns them that a red cyclops is searching for the same map. The trail leads to a cave on a Native American reservation, where they find a Spanish Conquistador helmet, a mural of Aztec and Mayan art and a ruby-pommeled dagger hidden in a skull. Men ambush them in the cave and take Patricia. A barkeep tells them about El Coyote, a one-eyed man who believes himself descended from the Aztecs, and points them to Tall Eagle, who says the Firewalker was a powerful being and gives Patricia a bag of magic for protection.
