Final Yamato (1983) on Netflix

Plot summary

Aquarius, a planet of water, has already drowned the homeworld of the Dinguil, a warrior race that counts only the strong as fit to survive. The surviving Dinguil use warp technology to drive Aquarius toward Earth faster than it would travel on its own, meaning to flood the planet and make it their new home. Word of the danger reaches Earth, which plans to carry humanity away, and the Dinguil destroy the evacuation fleets. The battleship Yamato returns to space under the newly revived Captain Jyuzo Okita and takes up the fight against the Dinguil to keep Aquarius from flooding Earth. The Galman Empire has been destroyed, and the worlds of the Bolar Federation, Planet Bolar among them, are gone after a chance collision of galaxies.
