Plot summary
A young frontier scout, Clint Belmet, has a fiery streak and is headed for at least thirty days in jail. His two companions, Bill Jackson and Jim Bridger, bring Felice, a Frenchwoman who pities him, into a deception. She tells the drunken, bumbling marshal that Clint became her husband the night before, and the marshal lets him go. Clint is free to travel with Felice on the wagon train bound west for California. When the wagons stop in a town, word arrives that Indians are causing trouble on the route, and Clint offers to guide the wagon train along the trails ahead.
