Plot summary
Leonard Clay is serving time in a maximum-security prison when a new inmate, Jared Williams, is revealed to be the son he lost touch with. The parole board frees Leonard early to keep tabs on Jared, and both are paroled on one unusual condition: the estranged father and son must become roommates. Living together under one roof strains the bond between them. Leonard takes a job as a car mechanic and meets Yvonne, who works with him at the dealership. Jared falls back in with his old criminal buddies, and Leonard works to keep his son clear of them.
