Plot summary
After another major terrorist attack, the United States passes the Freedom of Observation Act and links every camera in the country into one network, ODIN, the Optical Defense Intelligence Network, administered by the Department of Homeland Security. Millions of mobile robotic cameras called eyeborgs watch for suspicious behavior. Sankur arranges to buy a shotgun; an eyeborg watches the transaction, the deal falls apart, and the other man involved is found dead. When Brandon, the lead singer of Painful Daze, goes missing, Jarett Hewes takes his place at the next night's gig. Eyeborgs searching the building set off a panic in the crowd, and Sankur tries to shoot Jarett.
