Plot summary
Evie's childhood was spent escaping into stories about the sea while her home life broke apart. After a family tragedy, she grew distant from her relatives and had to get by on her own. As an adult, she comes across a bewitched necklace washed up on a beach. When she puts it on, she unknowingly frees a deadly water demon tied to the necklace. The demon means to ensnare Evie and everyone she loves.
