Plot summary
Boston's North End is where Jake Bianski runs a fish market, surrounded by Italian neighbors and customers. For eight years he has told people that Isabella, an ex-girlfriend who is married with three children, is his girlfriend. Steve Bottino and Gianluca Tempesti, who work at the market, want the obsession to end, so they set him up with Marisa Costa, a veterinarian, at the Italian club's singles dance. Marisa is interested until Jake mentions the other woman, and after that he keeps asking her to be his friend. Neither of them is Italian, and both let the neighborhood think otherwise.
